Last chance to get listed in the Canadian Animation Directory!

The directory nears completion. In fact, I've just been sent a pdf version upon which to lay my eyes. But for any and all stragglers, it's not too late! The last ads and logos are apparently still trickling in, and I've been told the whole book is headed to the printers next week. But that leaves the tiniest of windows still open for anyone who still wants to get in on this thing. Last minute entries and changes: YOUR DEADLINE IS MONDAY, APRIL 20TH!
Follow the instructions previously posted and get your listing in the directory. Doesn't matter if you're a full-fledged studio, a freelancer, a voice-actor... stand up and be counted.

CANADIAN ANIMATION DIRECTORY 2009-2010
What is it?
The directory is an accurate and comprehensive guide to the Canadian animation industry for 2009-2010. Researched and published by the Ottawa International Animation Festival team, the directory is an excellent resource for animation professionals, students, independent artists, organizations, and industry leaders. It covers a broad spectrum of existing and emerging production companies, funding agencies, schools, and post-production services. The directory will be available June 2009.

What will it look like?
The directory will be spiral-bound and indexed to enable rapid location of an individual, organization, or company within Canada. In addition to
the listings, advertising space will also be made available to those interested.

To whom will the directory be distributed?
The directory will be distributed to key industry reps at the Annecy Animation Festival as well as at our own Television Animation Conference.
Telefilm and Foreign Affairs also use the book as a key promotional tool.

Also, for the first time ever, the Canadian Animation Directory will be available online. The OIAF is collaborating with Mike Valiquette from Canadian Animation Resources (www.canadiananimationresources.ca) to help realize this goal.

Directory News

Update: there has been some movement towards an online directory. I've been meeting with a like-minded organization and should have an announcement soon regarding a central directory for the animation community. I won't be running it, but it will have my endorsement and I'll be helping out with the registration drive.
Stay tuned.
